Coverage options

A complete range, from one agent

Many agencies focus on a single product line. Allison Agency is licensed across both life and health, so one conversation can address your family’s full picture — and you work with the same agent throughout.

01 Most popular

Term Life

Straightforward protection for a set period of 10, 20 or 30 years, offering the most coverage for the lowest monthly premium. Mortgage protection is written here as well — coverage sized to your loan balance, so your family can remain in their home.

  • Level premiums
  • Convertible to permanent
  • Mortgage protection option
02

Whole Life

Permanent coverage that does not expire, with a premium that never changes and cash value that accumulates at a rate guaranteed by the carrier. A predictable, long-term asset within your estate.

  • Lifetime protection
  • Guaranteed cash value
  • Fixed premium
03

Final Expense

Smaller benefit amounts intended to cover funeral costs, outstanding medical bills and final debts, so that a difficult time is not made harder by unexpected expenses. Designed for older applicants and simpler health histories.

  • Simplified underwriting
  • No-exam options
  • Coverage that fits a fixed income
04

IUL & Universal Life

Flexible permanent coverage. Universal life allows you to adjust the premium and death benefit over time. Indexed universal life credits interest tied to the movement of a market index, subject to a cap and a floor. These policies offer real flexibility and are more complex than term or whole life, so we review the full illustration with you, line by line, before any application is submitted.

  • Flexible premiums
  • Cash value component
  • Illustration explained in full
05

Annuities

Retirement income products designed for assets you would rather not expose to market volatility. Fixed and indexed annuities, with the surrender schedule, fees and income riders explained clearly before you commit.

  • Fixed & indexed options
  • Income you cannot outlive
  • Surrender terms explained
06

Private Health Insurance

Individual and family health plans, including options for the self-employed and for those between jobs. Networks, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums compared against the plans genuinely offered in your county.

  • Individual & family plans
  • Self-employed options
  • Networks compared
07

Medicare and Medicaid

Whether you are approaching 65, retiring later, or helping a parent understand their choices, we walk through how Parts A, B, C and D work together, where Medicare Supplement differs from Medicare Advantage, and how prescription coverage prices out against the medications you actually take.

If you qualify for both Medicare and your state’s Medicaid program, we can explain how dual-eligible coverage works and what it means for your options.

  • Medicare Advantage & Supplement compared
  • Part D checked against your prescriptions
  • Dual-eligible (Medicare + Medicaid) guidance

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1–800–MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Allison Agency is not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program.

The process

Three steps. No surprises.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your situation

A short, unhurried conversation: who you are protecting, what you owe, what you can comfortably budget each month, and what coverage you already have in place.

  2. 2

    We compare the market

Because the agency is independent, we review offers from multiple carriers rather than presenting a single company’s product line.

  3. 3

You decide, and we handle the rest

Application, underwriting and policy delivery, each step explained as it happens. And the agent who answers the phone at renewal is the same one you started with.

Where we work

Licensed in ten states.
Local in every one of them.

Insurance is regulated state by state. Which carriers file products where, which health networks serve your county, and which Medicare plans are offered at all — each of these changes at the state line. Select your state to see what that means for you.

Independent by design
Multiple carriers compared on every quote, so you can weigh genuine options side by side rather than a single company’s catalog.
Life, health and Medicare in one place
A single licensed agent for the policy that protects your income, the plan that covers your care, and the Medicare decision waiting at 65.
Plain-English advice
Riders, exclusions, networks, surrender periods and underwriting explained before you sign, not afterward.
No cost, no pressure
Quotes are free, and the conversation ends whenever you would like it to. Agents are compensated by the carrier, not by you, and your premium is the same either way.
Service that continues
Policy reviews as your circumstances change, and a familiar voice on the phone when your family needs to file a claim.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does life insurance actually cost?

It depends on your age, your health, the amount of coverage and the type of policy. Many healthy applicants in their thirties and forties are pleasantly surprised by how affordable term coverage can be. Rather than estimate, we will run real figures from several carriers and show you the range at no cost.

Do I have to take a medical exam?

Not always. Several carriers offer accelerated or simplified underwriting, where the decision is based on your application and database checks rather than a paramedical exam. We will tell you at the outset which route best fits your situation.

What is the difference between IUL and whole life?

Both are permanent policies that build cash value. Whole life credits a guaranteed rate set by the carrier and holds your premium fixed. An indexed universal life policy credits interest tied to the movement of a market index, subject to a cap on the upside and a floor on the downside, and both the premium and the internal cost of insurance are flexible rather than locked. That flexibility is both the advantage and the risk, which is why we review the illustration together with you before any decision is made.

Are annuities right for me?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. An annuity trades liquidity for predictability, so the questions that matter most are how long the surrender schedule runs, what the fees are, and whether you may need access to that money before it is free to move. We review those three first. If the answer is that you need the funds to remain liquid, that is the recommendation you will receive.

Can you help with health insurance and Medicare too, or only life?

All of them. Allison Agency is licensed in both life and health, which covers private health plans and Medicare. A single conversation can address the policy that protects your family’s income and the plan that covers doctor visits, prescriptions and hospital stays. Plan availability and provider networks vary by county, so we confirm what is genuinely offered where you live before recommending anything.

What if I have been declined before?

A decline from one carrier does not mean every carrier will decline. Underwriting guidelines vary widely, particularly around specific health conditions and medications. This is precisely where an independent agency is most useful, and it is worth a conversation rather than an assumption.

How much coverage do I need?

A common starting point is ten to twelve times your annual income, plus your mortgage balance, remaining debts and anticipated education costs. We will work through the calculation with you rather than simply handing you a calculator.

Is there any cost to work with you?

No. Quotes and guidance are provided at no cost to you. Agencies are compensated by the insurance carrier when a policy is issued, and your premium is the same whether you purchase through an agent or directly from the carrier.

How fast can coverage start?

With simplified-issue products, a decision can arrive in days rather than weeks. Fully underwritten policies typically take longer because of exam and medical-record requests. Health and Medicare plans generally begin on a set effective date tied to your enrollment period. We will give you a realistic timeline before you apply.
