Medicare help from someone who'll still pick up next year
Medicare is federal health insurance for people 65 and older and some younger people with disabilities. Part A covers hospital care, Part B covers doctors and outpatient care, Part D covers prescriptions, and Part C, Medicare Advantage, bundles them in a private plan. A Medicare Supplement pays costs Original Medicare leaves behind.
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

In plain English
How medicare works
Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 to December 7. That's when you can switch Medicare Advantage or Part D plans for the next year. Plans change their drug lists, networks and costs every year, so it's worth a check even if you liked your plan.
Before we talk about specific Medicare Advantage or Part D plans, Medicare rules require a short Scope of Appointment form. It records which topics you want to discuss, and I'll send it to you. If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, I can explain how dual-eligible coverage works in your state.
Questions
Medicare questions people ask me
When should I sign up for Medicare?
Your Initial Enrollment Period lasts seven months: the three months before the month you turn 65, that month, and the three months after. If you're still working and covered by an employer plan, you may be able to delay Part B without a penalty. I'll help you figure out which applies to you.
What's the difference between Medicare Advantage and a Medicare Supplement?
A Medicare Supplement, also called Medigap, works alongside Original Medicare and pays some or most of what Medicare leaves behind, with any doctor who takes Medicare. Medicare Advantage replaces Original Medicare with a private plan, usually with a network and often a lower premium. Which fits better depends on your doctors, your budget and how you like to get care.
When can I change my Medicare plan?
During the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, you can switch Medicare Advantage and Part D plans for the coming year. There's also a Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period from January 1 to March 31.
Do you charge for Medicare help?
No. My help is free to you.
What is a Scope of Appointment?
It's a short form Medicare requires before an agent discusses specific Medicare Advantage or Part D plans with you. It only records which topics you want to cover. It doesn't sign you up for anything.
